Port Madison, WA
Vaccinated and boosted, Kathleen and I were eager to go to Port Madison on Bainbridge for the first Puget Sound Cruising Club Salmon Bake since the covid shutdown. The Salmon Bake is a fine club tradition we've enjoyed since at least 2005, back when we were on the beach in Blakely Harbor. With barbecue grill, supplies and food, we took the big boat, the ferry. By 3pm folks were streaming in, tables appeared and were covered with food. It was so great to see all the folks in-person we missed in the last couple years. The club provided the salmon, Copper River, a treat this year, and folks brought food, kids-yea and even pets, and Tor and Jess covered it all. Shez was in his grill mode with drone too. I was just thrilled to have so many friends to photograph, so many we haven's seen in ages. We took the dusk ferry back to Seattle and I smeared a few city lights - fun day. Thanks All!
Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me, and it's great to be outside and in-person with so many fine people! Thanks all!
